Once your vehicle is over three years old you must get your car tested each year. To obtain a Tax Disc you need a valid MOT (Ministry of Transport) certificate to show your car is roadworthy. If your vehicle has previously been MOT tested at Barrett-Lee you will get a timely reminder by post to book in your car for a test.

If your car fails an MOT test these faults will need to be repaired. It is usual for an extra charge to be made for retests but at Barrett-Lee you will get a FREE retest as long as it is returned within 10 working days. You may have your car repaired anywhere you wish. If severe road worthiness problems are found we would suggest leaving the vehicle here for repair or you having it recovered and taken to your chosen repairer.
